I'm about two minutes into Annie Hall and I already absolutely love Woody Allen.

I have been seriously lusting after a Diana+ for ages, and have asked for one every gift giving holiday for a few years with no avail.

But this year, the boyfriend, with no prodding or hinting at all, got me a Diana+ for my birthday. He is wonderful and amazing and always knows exactly what to get me.

The day after I received the perfect birthday present, I came home from work to a jar of 120 film in the fridge and a roll of zebra print ribbon (more on that later.) My mom also knows exactly what to get me.

I can't wait to take my new Diana+ out for an adventure. I'm thinking it will be perfect to take along on our picnic this weekend to celebrate our 6 month anniversary.

My mom is a preschool teacher and librarian at the local elementary school. There are many perks to these jobs (she always had the same vacations as my sister and I) but one of the best is that at the end of every school year she gets to pick through the discard pile at the library and bring home great books. One of the treasures she brought home this year was a falling-apart copy of Olivia, one of my favorite children's books. The binding has come apart and the pages are falling apart. I can't wait to use the pages to make some sort of craft project.

My sister is an amazingly talented artist. She is currently working on a giant, 5-foot watercolor in our hallway. I love walking past it every day and seeing it evolve and change. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Peace, Love & Summer Vacation

Tomorrow marks the first official day of my summer vacation. I am technically on summer break already, because my classes ended a week ago, but with an extra credit quiz due Friday, and a crazy busy schedule this past week, I'm just gonna consider tomorrow the start of Summer.

Summer is and always has been my favorite season. Everything about it is just so wonderful. For those of us not out in the real world quite yet, its a 4 month break from everything. No early morning classes to wake up for, no papers to write, no presentations to give, just four whole months of doing whatever you want. Sure, I have a summer job, but I absolutely love it, so going to work doesn't feel like, well, work.

I can't wait for all the adventures summer will bring...

I came across this video on the ModCloth Blog a few days ago, and I absolutely love it! I'm taking an art history course, and most of the paintings in the video are ones we have studied in class, so its awesome to see a modern interpretation set to music.
